Since it was established in 1943, Goodrowes has continued to develop its core business, offering a wide range of products to consumers & tradespersons, in addition to the farming & outdoor community, while providing unrivalled service and support.

Our Country Clothing and Workwear shop includes a superb range of outdoor clothing and accessories ideal for walking, shooting, fishing and working.

We have everything in store, including jackets, knitwear, trousers, shirts, bodywarmers, overalls, fleeces, socks, country shoes, walking boots, safety boots, work boots, wellington boots and work wear. All at extremely competitive prices. 

We are agents and stockists for Barbour, Seeland, Regatta, Hoggs, Lighthouse, Hunter, Aigle, Le Chameau, Muck Boot, Redback, Bridgedale, HJ Socks, Bahmah Hats, Classic Canes, Buckler, Delta Plus, Nikwax and many more top quality brands.

Goodrowes has one of the largest ranges of wellington boots in the South of England.

We are located in the centre of Chichester, West Sussex within reasonable travelling distance of Portsmouth, Southampton, Worthing, Brighton, Guildford, Hampshire, East Sussex & Surrey.

The majority of staff have worked for Goodrowes for more than 25 years and have extensive knowledge of the products and services offered by the company.

The majority of our products can be found at our central Chichester location, 6 The Hornet, while our Garden Machinery department is located in Quarry Lane.

Goodrowes Of Chichester History

6 The Hornet, which contains the Goodrowes Head Office, Country Clothing Department & Hardware Store, was formerly Voke’s bakery, with an
extensive tea garden at the rear, having access from Whyke Lane.

In 1901, Mr. Voke baked a cake weighing about a ton and a half.

It was sold for 10d. a pound, with 12.5c/r of the receipts going to support the Chichester Infirmary.

The business operated from 1880 until the retirement of William John Voke in the 1950s.
